BROWNIE GIRL SCOUTS- TRY ITS
 Colors
and Shapes:
Decorate a 6x6 tile using paints and stamps. Or bring in your
own precut sponges.
$14 per project, Project time: 1 hour
Leave at studio for glazing and firing. Approximately 2 weeks
American pride:
Acrylic Flag Sun Catcher
Glue colored acrylic pieces into shape of flag onto an acrylic background.
Then use beads to decorate wire hang.
$29 per project, Cost
includes all materials. Project time: 1 hour
Take home same day.
JUNIOR GIRLSCOUTS - CERAMICS
& CLAY
Time for Tiles:
Decorate a 6x6 tile with tools such as stamps and stencils.
Or learn how to create a scruffito design by scratching layered coors
to create a unique design.
$14 per project, Project time: 1 1/2 hours
Leave at studio for glazing and firing. Approximately 2 weeks.
Grin and Glaze It:
Decorate bisque salad plate and learn how to use underglazes.
Experiment with different tools such as stamps, stencils, and sponges.
Then learn how a piece is made, glazed, and fired.
$18 per project, Project time: 2 hours
Leave at studio for glazing and firing. Approximately 2 weeks.
TEEN GIRL SCOUTS - ARTISTIC CRAFTS
Skill builder:
Decorate bisque salad plate and learn about using underglazes.
Learn how to use different brushes to obtain different brush stroking
techniques. Then learn how a piece is made, glazed, and fired.
$18 per project, Project time: 2 hours
Leave at studio for glazing and firing. Approximately 2 weeks.
Service Project:
Paint a themed piece to be donated to an organization. Ex. Coffee mugs
or dinner plates for a nursing home. (approx. $19 each). Paint themed
tiles to be placed in a large wooden mirror frame. Then donate it to
be auctined for charity. ($100 = 14 tiles & mirror)
Pass On The Knowledge:
Help a younger Girl Scout or Brownie to decorate a tile using the techniques
you have learned. Get together with another troop in your area and make
new friends.
$14 per project, Project time: 1 hour

Career
Exploration:
Have a round table discussion with the owner of Glaze Under Fire, Nadene
Weil. Ask her questions to learn what is involved in owning and running
a small business.
(Cost: $50/group of 10 or less - 2 hours)
